Understanding Unicode-Based Fonts

Every stylized text on CuteFonts is generated using Unicode characters. These are not traditional fonts in the way a word processor or design tool would define them. Instead, they are collections of special symbols, mathematical characters, and diacritical marks arranged to visually resemble different font styles.

Because of this, the styled text you copy from CuteFonts behaves differently from standard text in certain contexts. particularly when it comes to accessibility.

Accessibility Considerations

Screen readers and other assistive technologies may not interpret Unicode-styled text the same way they read regular characters. For users who rely on these tools, fancy text can appear garbled, unreadable, or be skipped entirely.

Before using stylized text, consider your audience and the context in which it will appear. If your content needs to be accessible to everyone. including people using screen readers, braille displays, or text-to-speech software. we recommend using plain, unformatted text instead.

Screen Reader Compatible Styles

If you still wish to use styled text with accessibility in mind, the following font styles have been tested with the NVDA screen reader and are recognized as standard readable text. However, we still encourage you to test any styled text with a screen reader before publishing it widely.

Note: The style names listed below are labels used by CuteFonts based on visual appearance and character set.

No Guarantee of Compatibility

While the styles listed above performed well in our testing, screen reader behavior can vary across different software versions, operating systems, browsers, and configurations. We cannot guarantee that any Unicode-based style will be fully accessible in every environment.
